About

Sarah grew up in Tasmania before studying film in New York City and Sydney. Since returning home, she has worked on several projects, including The Gloaming (Stan) and Jennifer Kent’s feature The Nightingale, which premiered in competition at the Venice International Film Festival 2018.

Sarah was a founding board member of Derwent Valley Arts (DVA). She resides on the Live Arts Subcommittee where she helps to bring acts ranging from touring comedy shows to Festival of Voices and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra pop-up performances to the area. She also leads the DVA Film Society – curating monthly film screenings in the community.

Sarah has worked for several years as videographer for local organisations and businesses and recently captured a live performance for Zindzi and the Zillionaires (ABC Music). Sarah is currently working on her first documentary feature film: A Town Without Music, which is supported by Screen Tasmania, Documentary Australia, and produced by Tom Zubrycki.
